Apparently, Tyson Foods (the world’s largest meat “processor”) thinks injecting their chicken eggs with antibiotics still qualifies them as “raised without antibiotics”. Tyson claims this is accurate because the USDA doesn’t regulate labeling for the raising of chicks before the second day of life.
The Vice President of Tyson revealed, “The vast majority of the industry does exactly the same thing”.
Yikes. Just another reason to purchase meat from a trusted, humane and healthy source.
